These Cargo Saddlebags are a great way to haul your SUV or car tent, cots, chairs, air mattresses, cooking gear and other camping supplies while leaving your internal cargo space less crowded. Some of the biggest advantages to a Cargo Saddlebag is that it's easy to load and has no fuel robbing aerodynamic drag The Cargo Saddlebag hangs from your vehicle's luggage rack with 2 inch wide nylon straps with pads under the straps protect your vehicle and is equipped with quick release buckles. Handles built into each side allow two people to hold the load, unlatch the buckles and carry camping gear to camp or your luggage into your motel room in one trip. Included with every Cargo Saddlebag are two bottom anti-sway straps that attach beneath your vehicle. Also included is a long 2 inch wide support strap that can be used one of two ways. The third support strap can either go under the bag and to the forward cross bar to help distribute the Saddlebag weight. It can also run inside the read door and around the width of the bag (similar to a backpack hip belt) to hold the carrier fast against the rear door. This method also allows the third strap to act as an anti-sway device while it also supports some of the bag's weight. The Cargo Saddlebag hangs below the rear window leaving the driver's visibility unobstructed. The straps can be easily routed over or behind rear window wipers. The Cargo Saddlebag can be used with a rear mount spare tire depending on the items to be loaded, how they're loaded and the user's flexibility as far as loading and hauling the Saddlebag. If the top rear of the vehicle has a plastic spoiler or other fragile vehicle trim, the user should consider the weight of the load on the straps if the straps must pass over these plastic parts. For vehicles without a luggage rack, it is possible to suspend the Cargo Saddlebag with car clips and straps from the top of the hatch door (steel frame only, not to be used on glass). The car clips and straps are optional items available in a kit offered on this site. Dimensions & capacity: Size is 40" wide x 28" high x 22" deep.
