Book series titled: "Basic Vehicle/Equipment Operating Systems & Components, Plus"
Do you drive any kind of vehicle(s)? Do you operate any kind of equipment, lawn & garden or otherwise? If the answer to any one or both these questions is "yes", then you need to be familar with certain basic operating systems and components almost every vehicle and piece of equipment has in one form or the other. Such things as engine cooling systems (air cooled and liquid cooled), HVAC systems (heater, ventilation, air conditioner). electrical systems including the storage battery and others are essential for correct engine, transmission and sometimes drive axle operation or for creature comfort. These often give trouble first too if normal maintenance is performed on the engine, transmission and drive apparatus (that is rear drive axle/gears or transaxle units). Of a necessity, the internal repair of engines, transmissions and the drive apparatus, except for external type drivelines, is not included in this book series because of the divers nature of these. This diversity makes for the need of literally volumns of repair manuals and such.
While these books will in no way replace a repair manual(s), they will certainly complement one as far as the basic operating systems and components are concerned. Where the repair manual leaves most wondering what are they talking about, these books sometimes will lead you on with their more complete explanations, especially with the explanation of how certain components work. When you find out how it works, often that alone will both clear up why the component is there in the first place, and in many cases, will assist you in possibly repairing your vehicle or piece of equipment yourself or provide you with the necessary insight to correctly oversee any repair work a repair facility might perform. Knowing how something works makes it easier to work on too, especially when guided by the troubleshooting tips found in these books.
Probably the best way to relay the info this series of books contain is to add the table of contents of each to the text here. As the tables are completed, we will add them below!!
